Sarah & Kevin Underhill

Kitchen Renovation & Ground Floor Reconfiguration
Location: Weston-super-mare
Overview
While completing a project for their neighbours, Sarah and Kevin were recommended to us for a kitchen renovation that involved transforming their entire ground-floor layout.
With their children grown and out of the house, Sarah and Kevin wanted to create a stylish living space that would elevate their day-to-day lifestyle and provide a spacious, open-plan area for family gatherings.
Their disjointed ground floor lacked cohesive flow, and the disconnected spaces left the dining room rarely used. The property entrance was closed off by a small lobby, leading into a central hallway that connected the lounge, dining room, kitchen, and small utility room. The small utility room was the only access to their rear garden.
By removing all the internal walls except for the lounge, we opened up the entire left-hand side of the house, creating a new entrance hallway with immediate dual-aspect views of the garden through newly installed bifold doors.
The once-boxed-in rooms have been transformed into a sleek and modern kitchen/diner that opens fully onto their spacious, south-facing garden. This renovation floods the house with natural light and garden views, extending their entertainment and leisure space.
The result is a cohesive, bright, and inviting environment that enhances both daily living and special occasions.
Sarah & Kevin were over the moon with the finished transformation, as well as Excellence Livings customer focussed approach and kindly recorded a video testimonial to share their experience. We are delighted to also report that they are now speaking with us regarding more work, to complete their dream home & desired lifestyle.
