Neil & Karen relocated to the sought after village of Congresbury and purchased a lovely bungalow, which benefited from beautiful & spacious gardens, but lacked the internal space they needed or wanted.

They initially reached out to Excellence Living to discuss a potential loft conversion, which they hoped to use as a hobby room for Karen’s textile passion & a spare room for family.

Our Loft Conversion expert quickly established that the cost of converting their existing loft, was unbalanced with the limited space it would achieve. Therefore, we helped them explore alternative space options which would not only maximise a return on their investment, but also more substantially enhance their home’s function, flow, style, and overall sense of space.

The outcome was to construct a rear extension, which provided Neil & Karen with a spacious hobby room, doubling up as a spare room, but also providing a stunning sunroom, which was flooded with natural light & effortlessly connected to the main house through internal bifold doors. This providing both closed or open plan living options.

The sunroom was completed with new Anthracite grey windows, a stylish roof lantern and large French doors, connecting their home to their beloved garden, which was their core motivator when selecting their new forever home. We also carried out other internal reconfiguration work, which opened up the property’s hallway, creating a more inviting & welcoming space.

Not long after completing their first project, Karen & Neil returned to Excellence Living to explore more home enhancements. By opening up & reconfiguring their existing kitchen space, we were able to install their dream kitchen, with multiple access points from the home & outside garden.

Whilst their kitchen renovation was in progress, they also asked us to refurbish their existing bathroom, which Karen then personalised and hand painted with a contemporary wall Muriel, beautifully completing their home remodelling.
