Kathie & Robb Full Dormer Conversion

Rear glazed and roof extension, loft conversion & ground floor renovation.
Location: Brockley, North Somerset
Overview
Kathie & Andrew approached Excellence Living following a recommendation from one of our previous Loft Conversion and Home Renovation clients in Kewstoke, WSM.
By time Kathie and Andrew reached out to us, they had already commenced their Architectural and Structural Engineering journey with an external provider. Unfortunately, like many of our clients who engage a contractor after their plans have been drawn up, their third party drawings didn’t include the most efficient or appropriate build solutions and didn’t quite match their vision or desired project budget.
By working with Kathie and Andrew to really understand their vision & budget, Paul was able to create a personalised project package, including a detailed scope of work. This ensuring Kathie & Andrew understood exactly what was included in their build package and how this would be impacted by any necessary build amendments, or personal preferences.
Paul collaborated with our established trade and supplier network, leveraging their industry expertise to confirm the most suitable products and secure competitive prices.
Despite the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which triggered unprecedented demand surges and material shortages across the construction sector, Kathie and Andrew’s project encountered numerous challenges. The industry norm of seizing opportunities amidst heightened demand led to an influx of recruitment by trades, resulting in unforeseen quality and reliability issues for longstanding businesses.
Fortunately, Excellence Living’s proactive approach and robust network ensured Kathie and Andrew’s project remained on track despite these adversities. Their understanding of the complexities within the construction process and their unwavering trust in our team’s capabilities facilitated smooth collaboration throughout.
Delighted with the outcome, Kathie and Andrew expressed their appreciation through celebratory gestures and expressed interest in future collaborations, affirming their satisfaction with our dedication and customer-centric approach.
